Three of the city's biggest sports teams—the Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox—have a new home on television and are offering fans a new way to watch them.

On October 1, the Chicago Sports Network officially replaced NBC Sports Chicago. Best of all, the channel is available for free, over the air with a basic antenna. It's extremely easy—and cheap!—to catch your favorite teams on TV starting this month.

How to watch the Chicago Sports Network on TV

At the moment, the new network has secured deals with two pay-TV providers—DirecTV and Astound Broadband. It joined the channel lineup on October 1, and can be found on DirecTV channel 665 and Astound channel 685.

Chicago Sports Network has not yet secured a deal with other popular carriers, such as Comcast and YouTube TV, though, but things might soon change, especially considering that the new entity is publicly shopping for additional distribution partners as well.

Fortunately, fans can still catch all of the action even if they don't sign up for DirecTV or Astound Broadband. The network is available over the air in the Chicagoland region on channels 62.2 and 62.3. So go ahead and buy yourself an antenna for some free sports watching!

How to get tickets to Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox games in Chicago

Although being able to watch sports on TV is very important when it comes to the livelihood of many Chicagoans, there is nothing quite like heading out to catch a game live.

While the new Chicago Sports Network started October 1, single-game tickets for upcoming Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox games are also available now via Ticketmaster.
