Schneider Deli, the cult-favorite spot from husband-and-wife duo Jake and Ariel Schneider, just opened a second location in Lincoln Park, so you can now enjoy bagels, coffee, deli favorites and more in a bigger space with longer hours.

If you’ve been to their original outpost tucked inside the Ohio House Motel, you already know and surely love the towering sandwiches, punchy pickles and a menu of Jewish deli favorites. The new location builds on that foundation, scaling things up with a 1,750-square-foot space that seats more than 40 and finally gives patrons room to linger.

And linger you will. Designed with a mix of nostalgia and playful charm, the space is filled with family photos and personal touches that nod to Jake Schneider’s upbringing and deep connection to deli culture. It’s meant to feel like a neighborhood “third place,” somewhere you can grab a quick bagel in the morning, post up with a laptop in the afternoon or settle in for a casual dinner with friends.

The menu keeps the classics front and center. This means house-cured fish, crisp latkes, matzo ball soup and those signature stacked bagel sandwiches that helped put Schneider Deli on the map. But there’s plenty that’s new, too. The standout is the Hot Reuben, a collaboration with Caruso Provisions, loaded with freshly carved pastrami, pepperjack cheese and a giardiniera-spiked Russian dressing that adds a distinctly Chicago kick.

There’s also a grab-and-go case stocked with comfort staples like knishes, kugel and kasha varnishkas, plus heat-and-eat options for anyone looking to bring the deli experience home.

One of the biggest upgrades is the addition of a full coffee and espresso bar, developed in partnership with Metropolis Coffee. So lattes, cappuccinos and seasonal drinks are now part of the daily routine, alongside classic egg creams and, soon, a lineup of beers, wines and canned cocktails for evening crowds.

While this new location of Schneider Deli is bigger and set to be busier, it's still deeply personal, cementing the Schneiders as key players in Chicago’s modern deli revival.

Schneider Deli Lincoln Park is located at 1733 N Halsted. It's open daily from 7am to 7pm.
