Get ready for some high-end shopping: The first-ever Balenciaga store in Chicago is officially open for business at 15 East Oak Street.

The two-level, 6,700-square-foot shop is filled with the brand's latest ready-to-wear pieces for both women and men, plus shoes, bags, accessories, eyewear, jewelry and more.

As beautiful as Balenciaga's clothes are, the new store's decor and setup are what steal the show upon entry.

Overall, the shop boasts the brand's instantly recognizable vibe, one resembling the features of a warehouse or studio.

"Vast brushed concrete floors resemble sidewalk tiles, while walls are made of concrete or cement board panels, creating the illusion of a liminal indoor/outdoor space," reads an official press release.

The shoe section, fitting rooms and a giant staircase all sit under an luminous ceiling that boasts industrial lighting systems, a suspended ceiling mesh and other fixtures.

Other standout features include seating areas upholstered in recycled leather, panes of smoked glass, high-definition screens and an inlaid carpet. Clearly, luxury is the name of the game inside Chicago's latest shopping mecca.

Although Chicagoans have been able to snag Balenciaga's latest pieces at the Saks Fifth Avenue on Michigan Avenue until now, being able to shop at a stand-alone destination feels that much more special.

Balenciaga isn't the only new fashion brand coming to the Gold Coast—BAPE is also opening its first-ever Chicago store soon.
