There are countless great patios where you can enjoy a meal and a drink at the end of a long summer day, but not many of them boast a band playing tunes. This summer, the Hideout will combine dining and live music with the return of its Picnics on the Porch concert series, which transforms the front stoop of the beloved venue into an intimate outdoor stage.

The series kicks off on June 22 with a set from Canadian folk duo Kacy & Clayton, who recorded its recent album The Siren's Song with Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy. Other acts performing throughout the summer include prolific Americana singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale, country-blues artist Jack Klatt and avant-garde musician Kath Bloom. The Hideout currently has porch concerts scheduled through August 3, but a press release promises that more will be announced.

As in years past, attendees are welcome to lay out a blanket, snag a spot at a picnic table and order drinks from the bar. Nearby Local Foods grocery store will assemble picnic boxes featuring ingredients from Midwestern farms, which will be available for purchase.

Check out the latest list of the Hideout's Picnic on the Porch performers below. Each show begins at 6pm and admission is $10.

June 22: Kacy & Clayton
June 29: Jim Lauderdale
July 6: Jake Xerxes Fussell + James Elkington
July 20: The Other Years
