Between the Chicago River and the Brown Line is North Center, a community area that was once the home to European immigrants working in factories along the Ravenswood corridor. Today, the area has become a popular place to settle down and raise a family—libraries, parks and other family-friendly amenities are never more than a few blocks away. Encompassing Rosecoe Village and bordering Lakeview, North Center is also the home to music venues, dive bars and plenty of other places to spend an evening. Get acquainted with some of the best food, shopping and attractions in the area with our guide to North Center.
