Fioretta is DineAmic Hospitality's opulent steakhouse in the West Loop, led by chef Joe Rizza. The dimly lit restaurant, appointed with draping curtains, dark velvet booths and glitzy decor like crystal chandeliers, pays homage to 1950s Italian-American dining.
The vibe: An elegant Fulton Market dining room and bar perfect for a romantic date night.
The food: There's no going wrong with one of Fioretta's premium cuts like the 16-ounce New York strip or 44-ounce Bistecca Alla Fiorentina. We recommend starting off with the creamy Caesar salad (prepared tableside) and pairing your main with a hearty pasta like the toothsome macaroni alla vodka with parmesan bread crumbs or the cacio e pepe.
The drinks: In addition to an extensive selection of Italian wines, Fioretta offers a lineup of stiff cocktails like the Sicilian Sour (bourbon, blackberry, honey, ginger, lemon and egg white) and "Luxury" drinks like The Fixer (prosciutto-washed Macallan 12-year, Averna Amaro and walnut bitters).
Time Out tip: A meal at Fioretta can be pricey, so take advantage of the daily cocktail hour from 5-6:30pm at the bar. The discounted menu features $12 cocktails, $10 wine and snacks like $12 potato chips with Kaluga caviar and $5 sliders.
