On July 25, more than 1,000 people arrived hungry to the Museum of Contemporary Art for Time Out Chicago’s Battle of the Burger presented by Guinness. Attendees left with full stomachs after trying as many of the 13 burgers from the city’s top contenders as they could at the event, which took place outside on the museum’s terrace on what turned out to be a beautiful evening.
Monday’s event took place across two sessions in which the public cast votes for their favorite burgers while also enjoying Guinness Draught and Guinness Blonde. The evening got under way as party-goers played lawn games like oversized Jenga and Connect Four while listening to the DJ spin party tunes and having their portraits drawn by Doodlebooth. As the sun went down during the later session, guests were also invited to partake in a silent disco, culminating in a dance party on the lawn.
At the end of the night, Butcher & the Burger took home the crown for best burger with the largest number of attendees’ votes. Rosebud Steakhouse came in second place, and Acadia received third place.
