ELIGIBILITY: Time Out’s Battle of the Burger Presented by Guinness Blonde voting is open to legal residents of Illinois who are 21 years of age and older. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited. Voting is subject to all federal, state, local, provincial and municipal laws. U.S. law governs this contest.
VOTE TIMING: Phase ONE of the online vote begins at 4:00 PM Central Time (CT) on June 5, 2017 and ends 11:59:59 PM CT on June 19, 2017 ("Phase One Promotion Period”).
HOW TO VOTE: You may submit your vote for your favorite burger from among the 50 listed nominated bars/restaurants (“Nominees”) on Time Out’s Battle of the Burger Voting Page at https://www.timeout.com/chicago/restaurants/battle-of-the-burger-2017-vote-here. Nominees were selected at the sole discretion of Time Out editorial. Votes must be received during the Phase One Promotion Period. There is no limit to votes per person. Employees of Time Out and Guinness are not eligible to vote in the Battle of the Burger. Voters agree to be bound by these Official Rules including all eligibility requirements. Votes that have been generated by a script, macro, bot or any other automated means will be deemed void. Votes that are mechanically reproduced, copied, illegible, late or inaccurate are void. Sponsor’s decisions are final on all matters relating to this contest. Sponsor’s database clock will be the official timekeeping device for the contest. Sponsor is not responsible for inability to log in or any other technical problems on either end. No purchase is necessary to vote, nor will any purchase improve the odds of any Nominee winning a prize. There will be no prizes awarded for voting. Voters may also submit their votes via mail using the following information, provided however that all such votes must be received within the Phase One Promotion Period. DETERMINATION OF BATTLE OF THE BURGER CONTENDERS: On June 20, 2017, Sponsor will tally the votes to determine the 20 bar/restaurants that received the most votes (the “Top 20”). Sponsor will not share this information with any third parties, except as necessary for the administration of the contest. The Top 20 will be notified within three days that they have won an invitation to participate in the live event (the “Event”). If a bar/restaurant within the Top 20 declines the Event, the Nominee with the next most votes will be invited to participate in their place in the Top 20 and will be offered the Event. There will be up to 20 bars/restaurants that will be offered the Event. Any Nominees who tie for the 20th most votes will be offered the Event. A list of the Top 20 will be posted at timeout.com/chicago on or before July 10, 2017.
Those Top 20 who accept the Prize will be required to execute forms releasing Sponsor and Guinness [DGUSA – 530 5th Ave, NY, NY 10036], and their employees, parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, from any liability prior to receiving inclusion at the Event. There is no obligation for participants to use Guinness Blonde as an ingredient and no obligation for them to purchase Guinness Blonde to participate in the event. Their acceptance of the Event constitutes permission to use their name and likeness for purpose of advertising and promotion on behalf of Sponsor without compensation. All federal, state, and other tax liabilities arising from the award of the Event to the Top 20 will be the responsibility of those accepting the event and not Sponsor. The Battle of the Burger 2017 Presented by Guinness Blonde is in no way sponsored by DIAGEO-Guinness USA Inc.
