Last year, Zagreb City Hotels confirmed the arrival of two new Hilton Hotels. The latest news is that Canopy by Hilton will take the place of Arcotel in Branimir Centar this autumn. Hilton’s latest addition to its Zagreb portfolio joins the DoubleTree hotel, but this new-ish lifestyle branch of the company is pitched towards a moneyed millennial crowd looking for something different from their stay. Featuring one-of-kind artwork in every room, designer furniture and a low-key vibe, Canopy's mission is to revamp the blandly anonymous hotel experience, hoping to attract holidaymakers more familiar with using Airbnb when it comes to booking their city break. Rooms are expected to cost more than at the DoubleTree: a night at the Canopy by Hilton in Reykjavik costs upwards of 200 Euro.
