Looking to live as the Franciscans did, in a circa 1761 windmill, just a few minutes walk from Hvar's historic town square? Well you’re in luck, as Airbnb double team Ivana and Lorenzo, pictured in an incredibly wholesome avatar on the sites listing, have renovated this incredible tower. For the sake of verisimilitude the refurbishment was done using traditional building methods and materials. The couple added in a bit of tech to make the whole experience a little less monk-like. ‘Ruina di Molino a Vento,’ or the Old Tower, is protected by Hvar Cultural Heritage, as a cultural monument. Check out the full property listing, with its near perfect five star rating for accuracy, communication, cleanliness, location, check in and value on the Airbnb website.
