Jesus turned water into wine and we, in Lisbon, wanted to take that one step further by turning a 19th century water reservoir into a wine bar. Chafariz do Vinho has always been, and still is, a place of wine-by-the-glass worship here, with hundreds of options to choose from, carefully organised and taking full advantage of the reservoir’s excellent storage and preservation conditions. Dining at Chafariz is recommended, but our suggestion is to enjoy an early-evening glass of wine. Tuesday to Thursday, from 6pm to 8.30pm, there’s a tasting happy hour starting at 10€ for four wines.
