Time Out says

The Rei D. Carlos Museum of the Sea is among the most interactive in town, and will entertain your kids for a couple of hours. It has information about the Cascais fishing community and also about the art of fishing and the species that swim in the open ocean or the bottom of the sea - it has impressive life-sized representations of whales and sharks. There’s also a history of mollusks and other sea-dwelling species. It’s a wave of learning.
