With its owners having recently announced that they’re upping sticks to set up a new venue down the road, pint-sized Haggerston queer boozer and cabaret venue The Glory is going all-out for its last ever Christmas season, with loads of fabulously festive shows from east London’s favourite queerdos. Baby Lame is promising crap carol sing-along and all manner of festive filth in ‘Shitmas’ (Wed Dec 20), while Barbs, Jane Norman, Shartpop and Piss.Burp will be delivering some real Christmas crackers with ‘Stocking Filler’ (Thu Dec 21). Mark T Cox’s ‘Very Very Gay Xmas Cabaret’ (Sat Dec 23) will be bulging with nineties and noughties festive hits, before the Lipsync1000 crew stage a Christmas special during Twixmas (Fri Dec 29). And it doesn’t stop there! The man of the hour will be putting in an appearance at ‘New Year’s Eve Eve with Jesus and Astro’ (Sat Dec 30), beofre Ms Sharon Le Grand, Barbs and friends help you ring in 2024 with ‘The Millenium Bug’ (Sun Dec 31). Be sure to pop down for a few Baby Guinnesses and a boogie before the iconic east London landmark shuts up shop at the end of February.
