A seven-days-a-week foodie arena on the rooftop of Crossrail Place, from the team that brought you Dinerama.

A big shiny box on a low-rise Canary Wharf rooftop, Giant Robot is from the peeps at Street Feast, who also gave us hip outdoor food hangouts Dinerama and Model Market. It looks sort of like a boat. Or something with a massive quiff.

Inside, it’s like a cross between an airport departure lounge and a nightclub. Concrete floors, retro furnishings, groovy tunes. Plus four street food vendors, two bars and a coffee shack. Outside, there’s access to the wharf’s glorious ‘rooftopia’. You’ve got it: a landscaped rainforest on a roof. It’s all under a translucent, wood-framed dome, meaning shelter from the rain, but they’ve taken lots of panels out, so there’s breeze and birds, too.

At Giant Robot you'll find traders Little José, Thunderbird, Bob's Lobster and Yum Bun. Read all about their best dishes here.
