As well as being heinously sweaty and responsible for some quiestionable moves, dancefloors can be pretty relevatory places. A nightlife photography project called Dancefloor Recall is aiming to celebrate the dancefloor and all beautiful people that fill it, inspired by the closure of clubs during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The project, the brainchild of photographers Heather Shuker and Fran Hales, will manifest itself as an exhibition at Corsica Studios, documenting various stories that began on dancefloors through a series of portraits captured outside London clubs.
The Elephant and Castle nightclub will host the launch party on October 7, with DJ performances throughout the night. Entry is free, but it's recommended that you sign up for a ticket well in advance.
