Music industry veteran Jeff Gold set out to devise the quintessential rock-record list from the "Golden Age" of vinyl (you know, those discs collecting dust in your dad's attic). Tonight he'll discuss his 260-page tome, 101 Essential Rock Records: The Golden Age of Vinyl, from The Beatles to The Sex Pistols, which looks at 101 albums that changed music forever, working chronologically from the Beatles' 1963 UK debut "Please Please Me" through the Sex Pistols' 1977 classic "Never Mind the Bollocks." In case you're wondering, Gold estimates that, based on current market values, the albums featured in his book would cost a collector upwards of $125,000 to assemble.
