If you're the LA literary type, you'll be in good company at this release party for the third issue of the Rattling Wall, presented by PEN Center USA. The new literary journal, published by LA independent publisher Narrow Books, focuses on short fiction, travel essays, and poetry by local writers. View the artwork by Ben Tegel while listening to readings by several of the contributors, including LA Times book critic David L. Ulin, poet James Meetze and author Jillian Lauren. The evening will kick off with a short film screening on the making of Issue 3 and end with a book, er, journal signing. Who said bookworms don't know how to party? Make sure to bring money for the cash bar. Literature, film, art and booze at one of LA's greatest venues—should make for a great alternative Saturday night option.
