“Shattered Glass” is the latest in Jacaranda’s concert series. With the music of Adler, Reich, Schoenberg, and Zeisl, this concert will commemorate the 75th anniversary of Kristallnacht ("night of broken glass"), the night when Jewish business and homes were systematically vandalized and destroyed across Nazi Germany. Under the conductor’s baton you’ll be transported to the Jewish Quarter and then to Hollywood. You’ll hear two choral works performed by the Jacaranda Chamber Singers as well as Zeisl’s 1944 requiem, the first music composed to remember the Holocaust.
