Nels Cline + Urban Air: Elevated

See Wilco rock god Nels Cline in an exclusive performance at this unique music, dance and art experience on LoftSEVEN's Downtown rooftop (219 W 7th St). He'll be collaborating with director/choreographer/dancer Sarah Elgart as well as Kevin Kerslake—director of music videos for Nirvana, Depeche Mode, the Rolling Stones and more—who will run projections to accompany the music. Take in the show plus a pop-art installation curated by Eric Nakamura and Kio Griffith of Giant Robot, then stick around for an after-show mixer. The night will benefit green project Urban Air, created by LA artist Stephen Glassman to turn urban billboards into living, hanging bamboo gardens, as well as SHFT Mobile Kitchen Classroom, a new nonprofit created to give high school students the opportunity to learn about food, health and sustainability.
