Gregory Maqoma/Vuyani Dance Theatre: Exit/Exist

A mix of dance and drama, Exit/Exist is choreographer Gregory Maqoma's piece inspired by his cultural past. Contemporary and traditional dance combines in the tale of a 19th century Xhosa warrior who fights to maintain cultural identity when faced with colonialism. A South African vocal ensemble is part of the performance.
