Oxnard Tamale Festival

We can't think of a food more worthy of its own festival. Aside from an abundance of fresh tamales, this celebration boasts beer gardens, arts and crafts stations and two stages featuring lively Latin-American bands. You can also get your picture taken with Santa in the gazebo—this may seem a little incongruous, but tamales are actually a staple food at most Latin American Christmas dinners. ¡Buen provecho!
