The 72-page book tells the story of Marcus, who after having an affair that costs him his marriage and job, goes to visit an old high school friend on the outskirts of North Carolina. Awkwardness ensues until Marcus is asked to go on a deer hunt, which forces him to confront a variety of emotions in order to redeem himself.
