Coming to America drive-in screening

If you're a fan of Eddie Murphy or broad slapstick humor, this one is for you. Coming to America stars Murphy as African crown prince, Akeem Joffer, who, well, comes to America in search of a bride who loves him for more than his royalty. Joffer hails from the fictional nation of Zamunda, where he has been pampered and tended to all his life. The wheels are set in motion when his family tries to set up an arranged marriage, but Joffer resists and sets foot for New York City, where he eventually encounters Lisa (Shari Headley) while working in her father's fast food restaurant. The plot is paper-thin but the laughs are plenty – so lock that brain away, toss the key and enjoy the absurdity.
