Joseph Gordon-Levitt's first directorial and writing effort finds him (oh-so humbly) starring as a modern Don "Jon"—a lothario with a Jersey accent, who, in his own words, only cares about "my body, my pad, my ride, my family, my church, my boys, my girls and my porn." And where does philandering get you in life? Into a meaningful relationship with Scarlett Johansson, of course. What ensues is a battle between the false expectations provided by his love of porn vs. her love of romantic movies, and their efforts to find real intimacy. No matter what he does, Levitt does have charm for days, and we're guessing the (500) Days of Summer star will have a uniquely fresh cinematic perspective on love. The film starts showing at the North Hollywood Laemmle on September 27th, and tickets go on sale on the 24th.
