The LA Conservancy offers a wonderful time-machine trip by screening classic films in Downtown's grand old movie palaces throughout the month of June. Tonight's feature is Back to the Future. Grab the keys to the DeLorean and travel back in time with Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Doc (Christopher Lloyd) to quaint 1950s suburbia in this flawless classic first installment of the Steven Spielberg-produced trilogy. The theater at LA's Ace Hotel will play host to two screenings; the evening show will be hosted by film critic Leonard Maltin and the film's Lea Thompson will also make an appearance. The fest's shows are known to sell out before the series opens, so get your tickets online ahead of time.
