The pizza queen of Los Angeles never sleeps: This spring, Mozza magnate Nancy Silverton is back with another restaurant we can't wait to try. And if you, like us, can't wait until the Michelin-starred chef opens Pizzette in Culver City, all you have to do is head to Melrose this weekend.
On Sunday Silverton's giving us a preview of her new restaurant, held at her grab-and-go outfit, Mozza 2 Go, where you can find her new fast-casual items from noon until 3pm—or, more likely, until they sell out. Look for individual Pizzette pies such as the Meyer lemon with fried capers, fresno chilies and fried parsley; mortadella with ricotta; and the salami-topped version with mozzarella and chilies, each at $11.
You can also find the stuffed pizzettes, at $15, in options like roasted eggplant; porchetta; and mozzarella with peppers, not to mention $3 oil-and-cheese–kissed pizzette "ends." This is a Nancy Silverton pop-up, after all, and what would some Silverton pizza be without a great glass of wine to wash it down? Expect red and white, as well as beer, for $6 a pop.
