Since 1987, the Two Boots mini-chain has been serving innovative pizzas named after pop-culture figures (example: the Dude from The Big Lebowski)—offering diners a leg up at Trivial Pursuit in addition to a tasty slice. Although Two Boots began in New York, we're pretty sure it tastes better out here (if only because it lacks the competition of the east coast pies). Schoolkids can stop by in the afternoon for the after-school special: a cheese slice and small soda for $2.50.

Full disclosure: When I lived in NYC, I would never have set foot inside a Two Boots. So, I don't know if the Two Boots pizza is better out here, or if all pizza is worse out here which makes it seem better by comparison, but now I love it. I love the cripsy, cornmeal-dusted crust, I love the vegan slices with Daiya cheese (I'm not vegan) and I love that the place is open late and not too pricey.
Two Boots is a really fun place, and very conveniently located next to the Echo and the Echoplex. After a late-night concert, it's pretty hard to resist the temptation of a quick slice of 'zza. The slices have really fun names, and it tastes pretty good too! I will admit to getting this delivered when I don't feel like leaving my apartment on... really any given night. Netflix and chill? More like Netflix and Two Boots!
