Greek mythology's most romantic hero makes his way to the Getty Villa for a four-performance sojourn. Melbourne-based performance troupe Four Larks has created a bold new adaptation of Orpheus, the maudlin tale that chronicles a golden-voiced adventurer who braves the underworld to rescue his lost love, Eurydice. The Aussies' unique rendition will feature a one-of-a-kind score, fusing ancient musical traditions with modern avant-pop. In keeping with the theme of originality, Four Larks will follow their stay at the Getty by performing at a secret pop-up venue downtown on March 25.
