LA Fashion Week is notoriously hard to navigate. With multiple groups vying to be the "official" event, it makes for a lot of fashion (whether or not it's good is another topic)—and not for just a week, but the entire month of October. We've put together a list of the best events to attend for this fall's LA Fashion Week, whether you're in the fashion industry, want to stay up on the latest trends or are into pet fashion—yes, there's an event for that.

When you think of LA Fashion Week, this is likely the event that comes to mind. This year's event features designers like Ashton Michaels and Ivy Citizens showing off their collections on various runways at Union Station. The event started midweek but goes through the weekend with shows tonight through Sunday. Registration is needed to attend and are accepted at LAFW's website.

From October 14-18, designers will flood the various runways at Style Fashion Week, including Andre Soriano, Christina Milian - We Are Pop Culture, Marco Marco, Lulu et Gigi, A'QUA Swimwear and more. Events take place at the Reef in Downtown LA. There's a full schedule of the runway show's on the group's website, and you also have RSVP there to attend. While fashion is at the forefront of this group's week, Style Fashion Week is also using the week to highlight urban artists at its Art Venue LA event, also taking place at the Reef.

Do you think paws look best covered in Puppy Vuittons? When you see a cockatiel, does your mind go straight to couture? Make your cat the star of the catwalk at LA Fashion Week’s seminar titled “Fashion for Pets” which takes place at Fashion Business Inc. (110 E 9th St, #A792) on October 29 at 1pm. For a non-member price of $65, the seminar touts it can help those looking to enter the pet product industry to identify a target customer profile, create the purrfect product and develop a backstory that will have customers obeying your every command.

LA Fashion Week isn't all about the clothes and accessories. As any true fashionista knows, your skin and make-up (as well as your hair) help complete any look. All of that and more will be discussed Monday, October 12, at 5:30pm at this panel on beauty standards, including the latest in skincare trends, ingredients and manufacturing products that compliment and finish off your contemporary looks. The event is part of FWLA, which is only open to "accredited press, influential bloggers, retailers, celebrities and analysts." However, you can register to attend on the event's website. All FWLA events take place at Union Station.
