Lace up some skates and head to FIGat7th for Roller Jam, a one-weekend-only pop-up rink set up on the shopping mall’s plaza level (that’s the leafy upper-level courtyard between the shops and the parking garage). The rink will reside next to a dance floor, and both will be bathed in a different decade’s tunes each day thanks to the Beat Junkie Institute of Sound: Friday is the ’80s and ’90s, Saturday is disco and Sunday is the 2000s. In addition, you’ll find a craft beer garden from Black-owned Crowns & Hops Brewing Co. starting at 4pm each day.
Timed tickets run on the hour and cost $12, which includes skate rentals—though you can also swing by for free to partake in all of the other activities. Proceeds will be donated to the Social Justice Learning Institute, the Los Angeles LGBT Center and the Downtown Women’s Center.
