Time Out says

What we know today as Los Angeles was once underwater—for 90 million years. Get up close with 40 locally-discovered fossils from back when L.A. was a prehistoric ocean full of sharks, whales and all sorts of fish. Though the exhibition is small, we found it absolutely fascinating; you’ll see fossilized sea creatures found at present-day Metro stops, underneath the Central Library and even a massive whale skull found way inland in Lincoln Heights.
