Between its grit and glamour, Los Angeles as a city has found itself a central character in many literary works. It also doubles as a hub for aspiring fiction writers. With this in mind, Beverly Hills literary nonprofit PEN Center USA is presenting this local-centric reading event at the cemetery’s Masonic Lodge to celebrate writing both in and about LA. This year, the line-up is made of all LA women writers. Hear Natashia Deón, Amelia Gray (AM/PM, Museum of the Weird, THREATS), Traci Kato-Kiriyama, Claire Bidwell Smith (The Rules of Inheritance), and Amber Tamblyn (Free Stallion, Bang Ditto) read from their works. A book signing will follow the reading.
