Time Out says

Get to know the Brazilian caipirinha, the finer points of Japanese sake and more with this free ticketed Thursday evening event at ROW DTLA exploring the various cultures of L.A. through alcohol. Sponsored by L.A.-based food publication Life & Thyme, each night will feature a panel with local L.A. chefs, bartenders and food writers, as well as a guided tasting of the featured cocktail or spirit.

  • Thursday, June 16th: Brazilian: Sip on caipirinhas while learning about Brazilian culture in Los Angeles with Caboco’s Victor Vasconcellos and Marcus Ragas.
  • Thursday, June 23rd: Japanese: Delve into the roots of sake and its importance in Japanese culture with Tsubaki's Charles Namba and Pikunico's Kuniko Yagi.
  • Thursday, June 30th: Mexican: Dig into the impact of Mexican culture on Los Angeles with Life & Thyme journalist Ferron Salniker, Guelaguetza's Bricia Lopez, Abasolo Whiskey, Nixta Licor de Elote and La Luna Mezcal.
