We have photographer Chuck Boyd to thank for immortalizing LA's 1960s rock & roll scene on film. A behind-the-scenes fixture of the era, Chuck left behind a collection of nearly 30,000 legendary music images after his death in 1991. These days, Chuck's archive is carefully overseen by his siblings, as well as the award-winning teacher, author and music historian, Jeff Schwartz. Join Schwartz at the LA Central Library's second annual Photographer's Eye lecture, where he'll share Chuck's life through photos, all the while discussing the art of "rock & roll archaeology" and the challenges of conducting an image archive. The lecture is free and open to the public.
