We've been in our dry January era. The urge to abstain from alcohol extends throughout the year – there's Sober October, No Drinking November (ok we made that one up), and Alcohol-free April (fine, we made that up, too). The point is, people are interested in drinking less, and sacrificing one thing (alcohol) should not mean you have to sacrifice another (getting together with friends for drinks). Thankfully, no and lo-alcohol cocktails have become menu staples, with options that taste just as good – if not better – then their hangover-inducing counter parts. So the next time a sober curious friend asks to get together, whip out this list of restaurants and bars that serve amazing mocktails and low proof cocktails in Miami.

Walking through the doors of LPM, you feel clean. You feel chic. Thanks to their mocktail menu, you'll leave feeling the same way. The French brasserie just launched a $95 pre fix brunch that includes unlimited mocktails and let me tell you, they may just be the best daytime drinks in town. Though made with activated charcoal (here's to cleansing benefits), the Limonade Noire is a sparkling mocktail that tastes like a summer day in Nice, with honey that's been tinged with honey and a citrusy verjuice.

Osaka Nikkei

This Peruvian Nikkei restaurant in Brickell has introduced a new cocktail menu that includes a variety of non-alcoholic beverages known as "Arukoru Nashi," which means "no alcohol" in Japanese. To complement Nikkei cuisine, they lean on the citrusy and refreshing side, like the OSK Fresh (a tangerine and rosemary spritz) or the Coco Bang, made with coconut miso, kum quat and green tea.

Kaori

Kaori will have you feeling like you're in Japan, Singapore, New York – basically anywhere but Miami. Come here to listen to great music (espeically late at night or on Sundays) and grab a "mocktail" that's just as intricate as a cocktail. Order the Chai Pop, a fizzy, chai-spiced, no-proof drink made with Seedlip Spice 94, cardamom-kumquat, lemon juice and chai soda.

Going sober could still mean a sexy night out. Le Chick has just launched a new mocktail menu featuring Seedlip as the non-alcoholic botanical base. Craving a more herbal espresso martini? Try the Not-So-Dirty Chai, which includes espresso, homemade chai and cinnamon syrup.

We know – most people are coming here for a martini served in an actual tea kettle. But on the off chance you have, idk, work tomorrow, peruse Jaguar Sun's mocktail menu. If you're looking for something with a kick, the Shell Game is made with yellow bell pepper, pineapple juice, habanero, ginger and lime juice.

Il Giardino, Mr. C Coconut Grove's garden café, is a total ambiance indulgence, except its menu will keep you on track with your health goals. Of all the options on their no alcohol menu, opt for Mr. C’s iconic Bellini mocktail, a non -alcoholic take on the original sip created by Guiseppe Cipriani in 1948

Going dry doesn't mean you need to forego ambiance. Chotto Matte has more than a few refreshing mocktails to sip on, whether you pair it with dinner or grab a seat at the atrium bar. The zesty Wabi-No-Sabe ($12) features Seedlip Garden, aji Inca, acacia honey, kumquat, grapefruit and lemonade, while the Chicha Enamorada ($12) is a fresh and sweet take on a usual chicha cocktail with Seedlip Spice, peach, chicha orgeat, lemon and ginger ale.

What isn't best in class at Uchi? This extends to their mocktail menu, which is the perfect accompaniment to a smorgasbord of fresh Japanese dishes. Miss tequila? Try the Yebiso, made with Jalisco 55, passionfruit, ginger and soda. More into beer? The Run Wild IPA is a nonalcoholic IPA that will have you guessing if it’s the real deal.

Nothing inhibits an afternoon of art appreciation like being a little too drunk. The PAMM's bay-view café has a menu of mocktails and low-ABV spritzes like the Rose Fizz with egg white, simple syrup and lemonade and the Honey Mule with honey syrup, lemon juice and ginger beer.

In addition to a great wine list, Boia De also has a great menu of no and low abv cocktails. Miss the bitter taste of a negroni? Made with ghia, vermouth an cappelletti Boia De's no-groni might actually be a tinge better than the real thing. Craving a carajillo but gave up hard alcohol? Their cardi hijo hits the spot with cardamaro and macino kopi liqueurs, espresso and nutty walnut bitters.
