Few pizza joints in New York City have lines like the ones that form nightly outside of Roberta’s in Brooklyn. Born in Bushwick back in 2008, Roberta’s wood-fired pies have become the stuff of legend up north. And today, owners of the iconic restaurant announced that it will be coming to Miami for a temporary pop-up concept.

Moving into the Design District’s Jungle Plaza from October through April (just in time for Basel munchies), the Roberta’s pop-up will be open daily from 11am–10pm, serving its classic margherita and other signature pies, among numerous menu items. No photos of the space have been released yet, but if its Brooklyn location is any indication, expect industrial chic with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients.

Roberta’s is not the first NYC pizza business to test the waters in Miami. The city’s famed Artichoke Pizza moved into Ricky’s South Beach back in July, and has since helped us realize that invasive New Yorkers actually aren't that bad—as long as they're carrying pizza.
