You can lock us up but you can’t take away our stone crabs. Miami’s season for fresh, tasty claws ends on May 15—this Friday—but there’s still time to get your hands on the coveted stone crabs. Even with many restaurants still closed and some only offering takeout and delivery, the spots below have you covered for another few days. So order up, who knows when you’ll be enjoying this local delicacy next.

Prime 112

The restaurant’s daily wholesale deals include special pricing on select sizes. This week, colossal claws are about one-third of the price you’d pay at the restaurant. Check the restaurant’s Instagram Stories for the latest prices.

Joe’s Stone Crab

This South Beach restaurant is the reason for the season. The old-school spot adapted quickly to life in lockdown, launching delivery via DoorDash and nationwide shipping of their delicious claws. If you live in the area, your best bet is to swing by and pick up your order. Don’t forget a bottle of wine and a slice of key lime pie. Both are essential to the Joe’s experience.

Garcia’s Seafood Grille and Market

The no-fuss riverfront restaurant (which reopened on May 1) serves what it catches, so you know the claws are fresh. One pound of medium claws will run you about $24 and both delivery and takeout are available.
