360-degree fall foliage views? A giant observation tower? Parc National d'Oka's boardwalk trail also lets visitors (literally!) walk on water.

The secret is out: Montreal is home to some of the most gorgeous parks and hiking spots around, but less than an hour’s drive from downtown Montreal will take you to one of the province’s most stunning national parks.

Take advantage and enjoy fall's foliage to the fullest using this leaf-peeping tracker.

Parc national d'Oka—where land and water meet across wetlands and marshes—is home to several plant associations including maple; beech-sugar maple; red oak-sugar maple and white pine-red oak.

The giant observation tower is the perfect spot for leaf-peeping, and views of the wetlands, magnificent forests, Lac des Deux Montagnes and the Adirondacks.

Pack a picnic with your favourite snacks and get on the road!

The hour-loop traverses a wetland area that’s home to migratory birds, so don’t forget your binoculars.
