Calling all Mexican food lovers: some of the best tacos in Montreal have just landed at the Market.

It’s official: Time Out Market Montréal is now home to some of our favourite tacos in Montreal.
The Market, where some of the best chefs and restaurants in the city are gathered under one roof, is welcoming a delicious new addition to its culinary line-up: La Capital Tacos.
A pioneer of Montréal’s Mexican food scene, La Capital Tacos (celebrating over a decade at their Saint-Laurent Boulevard address) is bringing their mouthwatering dishes to Time Out Market Montréal—located in the heart of Downtown inside the Montreal Eaton Centre.

La Capital’s menu is exploding with vibrant flavours—a taste of Mexico in the heart of Montréal. The dishes reflect Geoffrey Emiliano Moreau’s personal journey, shaped by a childhood split between Monterrey and Tijuana.
Since 2018, he has drawn on those roots to craft organic Sonoran-style wheat tortillas, alongside flavours inspired by the coastal town of Rosarito—home to a signature taco that has since become a house specialty.
Among the first in the city to serve al pastor shaved directly from the trompo, his kitchen also elevates authentic dishes with the daily nixtamalization of corn.
An ancestral process that enhances flavour and nutrition, every stone-ground tortilla is made from scratch every day.
Kick things off at the Market with a large guacamole (and house-made tortilla chips), or a refreshing watermelon, cucumber, pumpkin seeds salad with a bright mint-lime dressing.
Get ready for tortillas bursting with impossibly tender pork smothered onions, cilantro, grilled pineapple and jalapeño sauce.
Or succulent braised beef topped with ancho chili, a fresh burst of cilantro, onions and radish, served with an unforgettable consommé broth.
Don’t miss the braised beef piled with ancho chili, cilantro, onions, and radish—crispy fried in (wait for it) beef tallow.
Or opt for a vegetable-forward option and dig into tender, garlic mushrooms with guajillo chili, cilantro, radish and pico de gallo.
Served on flour tortillas, the breaded shrimp spiked with chipotle mayo, pico de gallo, red cabbage and avocado sauce is epic.
And we haven’t even talked about the killer quesadillas.
Can’t decide? Mix and match with friends and family and enjoy the best of everything.
Time Out Tip: Save room for the fried baby potatoes cooked in lard, seasoned with spicy chili sauce and served with sour cream and green onions (worth it!).
And take a slice of tres leches to go.
Wash it all down with something from one of the Market's 7 bars (wine, beer, cocktails, sodas and one devoted entirely to creating next-level mocktails).
