Destinations all over the world are welcoming the burgeoning work-from-anywhere community by launching digital nomad visas. And some places are already set in stone as go-tos for those able to work abroad, with Portugal this year named the very best country for digital nomads.

But there are also lots of unexpected destinations that are seeing rising interest from digital nomads. The experts at nomadlist.com have done some research to find out the fastest-growing remote work hubs by looking into the cities that have received the highest number of check-ins on their website over the last two years.

So, where is the fastest-growing destination for digital nomads? It’s Tokyo! The capital of Japan witnessed a 369 percent increase in remote workers in 2022 alone. Given all the city has to offer, it’s not that surprising. It’s a hub of innovative architecture, traditional temples, culture and incredible food – to name but a few of its draws.

Ranking in second place was Da NangVietnam’s fifth most populous city. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have also made the list, meaning Vietnam occupies three spots on the fastest-growing nomad destinations.

In third place it’s Seoul, the capital of South Korea, another incredibly exciting city brimming with cultural and artistic heritage. Asia dominates the list, with nine of the 10 entries being located somewhere in the continent.

Here are the top 10 fastest-growing nomad destinations in the world, according to nomadlist.com.
