Time Out says

A contemporary of Richard Serra and Gordon Matta-Clark, Simonds became something of a star during the early 1970s by creating miniature, site-specific "dwellings" (which evoked the cliffside architecture of ancient pueblo cultures) out of clay, and putting them on the windowsills of abandoned buildings on the Lower East Side. This show is the artist's first in New York in a decade, and features somewhat less referential objects that are likewise made of clay, along with pieces in porcelain and one large hanging work made of polyurethane and paper.
