"Isaac Julien: Ten Thousand Waves"

China, ancient and modern, provides the backdrop for a nine-sceen, immersive video installation devised by London artist Julien for MoMA's atrium. Shot in various locales around Shanghai, the piece includes a sequence starring Hong Kong film star Maggie Cheung as a sea goddess saving a group of 16th-century mariners lost at sea.
