"John Storrs: Machine-Age Modernist"

Advertising

Time Out says

John Storrs (1885–1956) was a Chicagoan who lived and worked mainly in Paris. He was one of a handful of early-20th-century American modernists who achieved a distinctive style, creating sculptures in which crisp geometric lines evoked both machinery and skyscraper architecture—and became, in the process, the epitome of the Art Deco sensibility. This is the first major Storrs retrospective in 25 years.
