Marc Handelman, "Geological Sketches at Home and Abroad"

Handelman, whose work has explored the landscape genre's historical role as a handmaiden to propaganda (political as well as corporate), offers up new canvases and a 16mm film installation. The pieces touch upon such subjects as marble cladding for buildings and the old Hollywood special effect known as matte painting.
