Nari Ward, "Liberty and Orders"

Ward's dramatic sculptures explore the relationship between authority and freedom. The centerpiece of the show is T.P. Reign Bow, a tall police tower with red surveillance lasers. The overwhelming structure dominates the space, reproducing the artist's anxiety over individual agency and state control.
