Todd James, "King of the Wild Frontier"

This is a two-part exhibition, the first a series of brightly colored paintings depicting anonymous Somali pirates armed with AK-47s. James has played with the theme of Somali pirates for years, but these figures have a strikingly new feel, given his switch from paper to canvas. The second part of the show is an installation, which provides a glimpse into the bedroom of a graffiti artist.
