Walter Price

A Georgia native and Navy veteran, Price has had a busy couple of years with shows in Europe and the U.S., including an appearance in the inaugural edition of the FRONT International triennial in Cleveland, Ohio. This show, his first solo museum outing, comprises just four of his dreamy conglomerations of figuration and abstraction, but they certainly explain the appeal of his work, and his emergence as a budding artist-of-memory who channels his experiences as an African-American growing up in The South.
