The Frick Collection debuts its first addition in 35 years with its Portico Gallery for Decorative Arts and Sculpture—the former Neo-Classical arcade fronting the Collection's Fifth Avenue Garden, now enclosed with glass. As the inaugural show, the museum presents 70 examples of Meissen porcelain drawn from a promised gift of 131 such objects by Henry Arnhold. These works will be shown alongside 18th-century sculpture by Jean-Antoine Houdon (1740–1828), famous for his busts of Voltaire and George Washington.
