Altneuland: Israeli Queer Cinema Festival

NYU's Taub Center for Israeli Studies and Bronfman Center for Jewish Student Life join forces with the Consulate General of Israel for a two-day LGBT film fest that's the first of its kind. See documentaries, features and shorts, including Eytan Fox's Yossi & Jagger, about love between soldiers; Haim Tabakman's Eyes Wide Open, in which a married orthodox man falls for a Yeshiva student; and Paper Dolls, Tomer Heymann's doc about Filipino transwomen living in Israel.
