Time Out says

History nerds who heart New York can get their kicks at Green-Wood Cemetery's commemoration of the Battle of Brooklyn, which took place 234 years ago (it was the first major tussle in the Revolutionary War following the signing of the Declaration of Independence). Events today include a battle re-enactment (12:30pm) and parade led by the Regimental Band of the United States Merchant Marine Academy (1:30pm).
